Literary translation of Marcelo Spalding’s book Mini Contos.

Brazilian Flash Fiction is the English version of the original Brazilian Portuguese Minicontos, by Marcelo Spalding. Marcelo Spalding is a teacher, writer and journalist. He holds a degree in both Journalism and Fine Arts (Letras), as well as a Masters and Ph.D. in Literature from UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul).

My name is Désirée Jung and my intention here is to immerse into words. Writing my biography is a bit like witnessing the spectrum of my own gaze – an impossible task, due to its volatile and vulnerable contingency. For that reason, I let the poems speak for myself. I can add that I’m a Brazilian-Canadian artist, lover of beauty and everything (but not-all) that comes from a feminine space.
