The voice and gaze that speak

and excite my grammar

are often different,

beyond mine,

and which, by principle, I deny,

fearing the mistake,

the presence, that rarely

causes death, but life

erupting an affect

without catastrophes,

without resistance,

or desire to colonize

how you desire.

My name is Désirée Jung and my intention here is to immerse into words. Writing my biography is a bit like witnessing the spectrum of my own gaze – an impossible task, due to its volatile and vulnerable contingency. For that reason, I let the poems speak for myself. I can add that I’m a Brazilian-Canadian artist, lover of beauty and everything (but not-all) that comes from a feminine space.
